GusBox Freestyle is a new summer party with saunagus at its center, and it takes place on August 15 and 16, 2026 at Bjerringbro Idræts og Kulturcenter, Vestre Ringvej 7, 8850 Bjerringbro.
It is all about improvisation, creativity and presence. Skilled gusmesters go all in with towel skills to music they do not know beforehand, in front of an audience that expects presence and entertainment. Two teams compete to find Denmark's best freestyle gusmester, and the crowd's support counts toward the competition.
There are six mobile saunas on the site with around a hundred gus sessions per day, and a new gus starts every twenty minutes. Both days at nine o'clock, freestyle coach Rasmus B. Thomsen holds a demonstration gus that everyone can join on a first come, first served basis. There is also a quiet zone in two tipi tents as well as stalls selling food and drink.
